Trade Mission to Nova Scotia

In October 2022 we held our first in-person trade mission to Nova Scotia. This trade mission, in partnership with the Lochaber Chamber of Commerce, took a delegation of Scottish organisations (House of Elrick Gin, The Gael Gin, Saturn Fe, Krucial and Clootie McToot Dumplings) to the Canadian province. With the COVID-19 pandemic forcing our previous trade missions to the US and Canada to be held virtually, we were delighted to get started and begin establishing new and lasting connections and creating opportunities across the Atlantic. We held a networking reception in Halifax along with visits to great events hosted by the Truro and Bridgewater Chambers of Commerce with our delegates making individual visits to stores, boutiques and other organisations relevant to their industry. We were delighted to welcome Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston to a dinner with our delegates where we discussed strengthening the trading ties between Nova Scotia and Scotland.
