New York Tartan Week Business Networking Session

Tartan Week in New York got off to a fantastic start, and many thanks went to the Edrington Group for once again hosting our sold-out business networking session, kindly supported by proceMX, a leading Scottish software development company.

We were joined by an outstanding panel of leaders and experts — Cllr Dr Jacqueline Mclaren, Lord Provost of Glasgow City Council, Lolita Jackson MBE FRSA, Sergio Rodriguez, and Laura Popa — who shared insightful perspectives on the challenges and opportunities around climate, energy, and affordability across New York City, Glasgow, and Scotland.

A special thank you went to Global Scot Ian Houston for expertly moderating the discussion, and to Iain Ritchie, CEO of proceMX and Chair of the Scottish North American Business Council (SNABC), for his opening remarks and support.

We were also delighted to hear from Ian Maxwell, CEO of the SFA, who spoke about the important role football could play in tackling key challenges in Scotland — and the excitement that had been building as Scotland prepared to return to the world stage.
